Revlon Nearly Naked and Deal Alert!

Hi Beauties!

I picked up the new Revlon Nearly Naked foundation and powder a little over a month ago.  Many say it is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation.  I have never tried that foundation so I cannot say whether that is true or not.

In case you do don’t know the products look like this:

Sorry the compact is a little dirty…but I actually use these products. :)

I picked up the foundation in 130 Shell.  This shade is a pretty good match for me but is a tad yellow for my skin tone.  I would say I have a neutral undertone which can sometimes be a challenge to match in the drugstore as many brands don’t have neutral shades and just cool or warm.

I would say the foundation is light coverage that is buildable to medium coverage.  I would recommend it for dry to normal/combination skin types.  As I have mentioned before I have oily skin.  This foundation works for me but for only a couple hours on its own.  After that I become an oil slick.  In anticipation of writing this post I wore it alone (with primer) to work today.  It looked great until lunch time and then it started to fade.  By the time I got home my face was an oil slick.  I could have combated this with some blotting sheets and powder but I like to keep things low maintenance at work with little touchups throughout the day.

How I normally use this foundation is mixed with my Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation.  My shade of Colorstay Buff has a grayish cast to it so mixing in the Nearly Naked makes it a much better color match.  The addition of the Colorstay to the mix makes the coverage and lasting power better all around.

I grabbed the powder in the lightest shade Fair.  I am not sure if you can tell in the picture but these powders seem to run on the dark side in the pan.  Once I applied it the color match was spot on.  This powder has a very silky creamy texture and is super lightweight.  This has quickly become a favorite powder.  I can use it to set my undereye concealer and it does not settle into my fine lines or look cakey.  I love it!  It provides a lot more coverage than you would expect from a “naked” product.  I highly recommend the powder to all skin types even oily gals like me.
